Ingredients
- 5 kg Self Raising Flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cup White Sugar
- 300g all bran flakes
- 375g butter
- 1 x buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 300ml oil
- mixed seeds (poppy, sesame, sunflower, pumpkin)
Method
- Pre-heat oven to 180?C, and grease ovenproof pans.
- In a microwave-proof bowl, melt the butter.
- In another bowl sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add in the sugar all bran flakes and the mixed seeds.
- Mix together the buttermilk, eggs and oil. Add in the melted butter and combine well.
- Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix well till all ingredients are mixed and you have a slight dough.
- Press the dough out into pre-greased oven pans and cut into desired size pieces.
- Bake in preheated oven @180ºC for 30 – 40 minutes
- Separate each piece onto another baking tray and dry out at 50ºC – 100ºC until hard in the middle.
