Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 500 g Butter
  • 2 cups White sugar
  • 2 cups Brown sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 4 tsp Vanilla
  • 10 ml Bicarbonate of soda – mixed with 10ml hot water
  • 5 ml Salt
  • 6 cups Flour
  • 4 cups Chocolate chips

Method

  1. Cream together the butter, white and brown sugar, until smooth.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla, bicarb and salt.
  3. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips.
  4. Roll into small balls (about 2cm) and softly press flat on a baking tray.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 180°C.
  6. Allow to cool, but you can also enjoy it straight from the oven!
