Big 5 Sightings 13 to 19 November 2017

The Big 5 highlight of the week was to see Tiyani, the female leopard in a tree with her Bushbuck kill just outside our camp in front of one of the rooms.

Monday, 13 November 2017

  • A breeding herd of about twenty elephants feeding at Rhino Midden Road
  • Two unknown lionesses and one male lion resting at Rhino Pan
  • Hosana, the male leopard, still feeding on his impala kill on Little Gowrie/Hoffman’s Cutline
  • One Birmingham male lion moving east from One Eye Pan
  • Six buffalo bulls resting at Kudu Drift
  • Tiyani, the female leopard, resting just east of Rhulani Road
  • Two buffalo bulls moving south from Leadwood Road
  • Another breeding herd of about ten elephants feeding at Seef’s Pan

  • A breeding herd of about ten elephants feeding on Milkberry Road
  • Eight buffalo bulls drinking water at Serengeti Pan
  • Two buffalo bulls feeding on Shirley’s Crossing Road
  • Two Unknown lionesses and one male lion resting at Rhino Pan
  • Ingrid Dam, the female leopard, resting up in tree on Madash Road
  • Another breeding herd of about ten elephants drinking water at Serengeti Pan

  • A bachelor herd of 10 buffalo bulls feeding south on A-main Road
  • A breeding herd of about 10 elephants feeding close to Zimba Bridge
  • Three lionesses and one cub of the Tsalala pride resting on Shirley’s Crossing Road
  • Two Birmingham male lions resting on Guarri Central Road
  • Tiyani, the female leopard with a bushbuck kill in a tree in front of the lodge
  • A breeding herd of about 20 elephants feeding on Leopard Drift Road
  • Another breeding herd of about 10 elephants feeding around Serengeti Crossing

  • A breeding herd of about 10 elephants feeding on Rocky Road
  • Another breeding herd of about 15 elephants feeding on Methlowani Road
  • Another breeding herd of about 15 elephants feeding close to Treehouse Pan Crossing
  • All the members of the Styx pride of lions resting on Little Gowrie driveway
  • Hosana, the young male leopard with a impala kill on Wessels old driveway
