Three in one! |
 |
On the morning of the 15th of April we left camp while a cool autumn breeze filled the air. Winter is slowly, but surely arriving in the bush! One our way to Big Dam we saw a lot of general game including impala, warthogs, giraffe as well as wildebeest. We were trying to relocate Mbilo, whom we left in a Jackalberry Tree the previous evening.
We found her in the same tree. We sat watching her stretch and yawn, taking care not to fall out of the tree. When we pulled out of the sighting we found the Tsalala females on their way to Big Dam for an early morning drink. We followed them all the way to the dam and found a lone buffalo male already enjoying a refreshing drink on the other side. Wow, three of the Big 5 in one area, in less than an hour. That could only be Elephant Plains!
