Big 5 Sightings 26 November 2012 – 02 December 2012

The Big 5 highlight of the week was to see how 12 wild dogs work as a team to chase and kill 2 juvenile impalas. Then out of nowhere and without warning the sub-adult Nkuhuma male lion came in and chased the wild dogs off their kills!

• One buffalo bull resting in the water at Ingwe Pan
• Shadow, the female leopard, was chased up into a tree by a hyena on Safari open area

• Salayexe, the female leopard, moving north west from Rhulani Road
• Tingana, the male leopard, walking south from Boundary Pan
• A breeding herd of about 8 elephants feeding in an easterly direction from Robson’s boundary
• Five buffalo bulls feeding around Rhino Pan
• One male elephant walking north on Madash Road towards Boundary Pan

• Three buffalo bulls resting in a mud wallow just north of Second Windmill Pan
• Two Styx Pride lionesses still feeding on the buffalo kill on Chitwa Annette’s cutline
• Ntima, the female leopard, with a juvenile warthog kill on Lucas open area
