Big 5 Sightings – 12-18 November 2012

The Big 5 highlight of the week was seeing an elephant cow with two small calves, estimated to be about two weeks old. It is not very common for elephants to give birth to twins, therefore this was something very special to see.

• Kwatile, the female leopard, scent marking on Seepline, east of Big Dam Link North
• Two buffalo bulls resting in the water on EP open area
• Five buffalo bulls feeding north of Serengeti Manyeleti Crossing
• Another breeding herd of about 15 elephants feeding close to Leeukuil
• Salayexe, the female leopard, and her cub with a juvenile impala kill on Mfezi open area
