Big 5 Sightings 20 – 26 August 2012

Our Big 5 highlight would have to be getting a good look at Salayexe’s two precious cubs when she decided to share them with us. At the moment her den site is not too far away from camp – at Kudu Drift. The rules for viewing them are as follows for the moment: if you find her on drive and she allows you to follow her, you are welcome to stay with her. If, while following her, she leads you to the den site, you are welcome to stay and watch the cubs, as long as they are comfortable enough to show themselves and mom is present. It is only a one vehicle log and you are only allowed to stay for ten minutes. How wonderful to be able to spend some time with these small, furry creatures. We will keep you posted as soon as we introduce the next step in the habituation process.
